The Charpak Scholarship Program
The French government scholarship programme in India is called “Charpak” and provides funding to the students for Master’s degrees, research internships and exchange semesters. It allows them to study at different levels at undergraduate, postgraduate or doctorate in public and private institutions in France.
Charpak Master: This programme is offered to Indian students admitted in a master programme in France. The scholarship is renewable once, upon request and examination of the results obtained, for master 1 students admitted to master 2.
Charpak Research Internship: The scholarship programme is open to graduate and post graduate students enrolled in an Indian institution and wish to attend a training course at a French laboratory or university during their academic break.

Charpak Exchange Program: The scholarship programme is open to Indian students of all profiles studying at the bachelor’s or master’s level, leaving for a semester of study in France in the framework of a partnership between their Indian establishment and a French host institution.
The Raman-Charpak Fellowship is implemented and offered by the French Embassy in India and Department of Science and Technology to Indian PhD research students who intend to pursue part of their research at a French institution for 2–6 months.

La Femis Scholarship
Embassy of France in India and La Femis offer a scholarship for 2 months to an Indian student who wish to develop their practical and theoretical knowledge of documentary filmmaking in France. The awardee is provided with a monthly stipend, along with a return ticket to France, an overseas medical insurance coverage, assistance to find accommodation and student visa fee waiver.
The Embassy of France in India and The Neemrana Music Foundation co-financed Scholarship
The Neemrana Music Foundation in New Delhi and The French Embassy in India jointly offer two scholarships in the field of Western Classical Music for singers and musicians. The scholarships are offered for 1 year and the selected candidates are trained in prestigious French music schools or conservatories.
The Eiffel Scholarship
The programme is established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and is designed for international students pursuing study programmes in four major fields: Law studies, Economics and management, Engineering sciences and Political sciences. The scholarship programme funds master’s courses (for 12 to 36 months) and offers funding for PhD students to spend 10 months in France through joint supervision or a joint direction of thesis (preferably the 2nd year of the PhD).
Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) scholarship
Offered by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI), it supports international students who wish to pursue a master degree program at a French institution in earth systems, climate change and sustainability, the energy transition, and societal challenges of environmental issues. The awardees will receive a monthly stipend of €1,190; roundtrip airfare and medical insurance.
THE ERASMUS PLUS MOBILITY SCHOLARSHIPS
Students from around the world can apply for a full degree scholarship. It can also involve scholars and guest lecturers. Its objective is to enhance academic cooperation between the EU and rest of the world.

Franco Indian Education trust
The Franco – Indian Education Trust is a non-profit charitable and educational trust. It is a joint initiative of the Embassy of France in India and the Krishnakriti Foundation. Established in 2017, it aims to support the mobility of students, faculty, researchers, and young professions in diverse domains from India to France and vice-versa for long-term or short-term programs. It also aims at providing equal opportunity to women and lower-income groups so that they can empower them.

UGAM Legrand Scholarship
Launched in 2018 by the FRENCH ELECTRICAL GROUP LEGRAND, this programme supports the education of Indian students from low-income family groups and children of martyred armed forces personnel. It is offered at master’s degree level in the field of Management, Science and Engineering. The scholarship covers tuition fees up to 10000 euros or living expenses up to 7500 euros, visa, and campus fee waivers. Shikhar Thales Scholarship Program
Designed for students who wish to pursue their studies in France for the master’s program in the field of AI, Aerospace, Communication and Control system. Bahman Samandari Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Mrs Christine and Mr Kazem Samandari, co-founder of L’Opera, to celebrate the memory of Bahman Samandari, who dedicated his life to promote higher academic learning and to spread peace and understanding among people. It is designed for students who wish to pursue culinary studies in France. To qualify for the scholarship award, the citizen must be a resident of India and at least 18 years at the time of applying.
